The Process
Step 01.
You’ve connected with my work in a meaningful way, and something tells you we might be a great fit. Fill out my contact form under the contact page and let’s chat! Tell me about your vision, your hopes and dreams, your potential venue/dates etc. I’ll get back to you within 3 business days.
Step 02.
We’ll talk through your story, your vision, and all the unique details that make your day yours. We’ll refine the date, time and location, and I’ll provide ideas and resources to bring everything to life. Once you decide you’re ready to make some magic I’ll send you a contract and invoice through HoneyBook, where you can securely submit your 25% retainer by credit card. Once that’s complete, you’re officially booked in - yay!
Step 03.
Once booked, I’ll send over a 40-page planning guide to walk you through every step of your wedding planning journey. After that, I’ll check in periodically and am always available if questions come up. I’ll send a questionnaire a month before your day and craft your custom photography timeline-of-the-day based on what you share, to ensure things go as smoothly and stress-free as possible. Your timeline will let everyone know where to be when, and break down all group photos and portrait times throughout the day.
Step 04.
The day has arrived! I’ll guide you and your guests with ease, step in when needed, and gracefully fade into the background when the moment calls for it. From arranging your dress and keeping hair and details perfect, to capturing candid moments and cheering you on fiercely, I’m here to ensure your day unfolds effortlessly. My goal is to make your wedding experience seamless, joyful, and completely stress-free.

I approach weddings with a documentary eye, prioritizing capturing the real, unfiltered moments of your day as they naturally unfold, while blending gently prompted moments with editorial composition. I thrive on collaboration and clear communication, and it’s in my nature to jump in and help when needed. From vendor recommendations and behind-the-scenes organization to decor guidance or sourcing items, these are just a few examples of how I love to help. I’m your go-to online shopping connoisseur and professional problem-solver, supporting every detail so your wedding is as thoughtful, joyful, and stress-free as you imagined.
Where are you based?
I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia and am available Canada-wide + internationally. As an avid and frequent traveller, there's nothing more exciting for me than being able to combine the three things I'm most passionate about; weddings, photography & travel. Reach out to inquire about my travel rates.
Are travel expenses included in your packages?
Travel is always included in your custom package quote - no extra mileage fees or surprise charges!
What is the average price one spends on a wedding photographer?
My average couple spends about $6600-8800 + hst locally.
How does booking work?
Send me an inquiry through my contact form, or shoot me an email and we'll chat/figure out the best package for you! I'll send you my contract to sign, you'll send me a 25% retainer fee towards your owing amount to secure your date, and then it's official.
When can we expect to receive our photos?
I take editing and attention to detail incredibly seriously. With over 20 years of experience, my process is meticulous and intentional - ensuring your final gallery is beautifully curated and a true reflection of my signature style. My turnaround time is 4-6 weeks for couples/engagements and up to 16 weeks for elopements + weddings. Brides and/or grooms can expect a generous preview gallery delivered within about a week of your wedding day. Your images are delivered in a private online gallery with a built-in boutique for photo products.
Do you work with a second shooter?
Most of the time, it’s just me! I genuinely love the rhythm of working solo and being able to move quietly and intentionally throughout your day. I do however offer a second-shooter add-on and typically suggest it for particularly large or multi-location celebrations, where having two perspectives ensures nothing is missed.
Do you offer film?
Film holds a unique kind of magic - its tones, texture, and depth create an undeniably timeless, nostalgic look. For couples wanting a fine-art element in their collection, I offer film photography as a thoughtfully curated add-on. If you’re curious about incorporating film, I’d love to share more.
